Google has updated its Search Console Indexing report with more granular statuses and categories. This is reported on the Data Anomalies page.

Google has warned that this change will result in some bugs being flagged in new, more specific categories.

It is noted that the total number of items in each category (error, warning, excluded, page without errors) should not change significantly. The update will affect only the description of the status of the marked elements.

The Google post also links to a post on the Google Developers site, but this page returns a 404 error.

As a reminder, in December, Google temporarily disabled Search Console's patch checking feature.

Last month, Google also resumed its indexing request tool, which has been unavailable since October.
