Since April, Google has begun testing a new feature that allows short videos to be shown as a carousel in mobile search results. The original carousel only showed YouTube videos, but now it shows videos from TikTok and Instagram. This feature was noticed by Brian Freisleben, who posted on his Twitter page.

The feature was tested on different mobile devices and teams. Key queries were asked on various topics and when getting results, most of the videos were from TikTok, and a few from Instagram. But the most interesting thing is that not a single one with a YouTube video. This suggests that the function from Google has become more focused on other video sites.
