Google tests "zero SERP" again on desktops

English-speaking users have noticed that Google seems to be testing "zero SERP" again on desktops.

Google first started testing single result SERPs in March 2018. At the same time, the search engine could only return an ad unit and a link to view organic results.

A week after its launch, Google put the experiment on hold, saying it had gathered enough feedback and would now work to improve the format.

In November 2018, the search engine again began returning ready-made answers with no other results. This SERP was displayed for queries related to dates, calculators and conversions on mobile devices.

Another variant of "zero SERP" Google tested in May 2019.

Now users have noticed this SERP on desktop again. The request was related to solving a math example. Screenshot shared by a user from India:
